David Clive Munro was born Lerwick 5th March 1956, attended Bell’s Brae Primary School, the Anderson Educational Institute until it became the Anderson High School in 1970. He left school in 1974 and spent the next 4 years at Aberdeen University learning lots about music, making friends and how not to be a successful student, though did miraculously end up with an M.A.
Clive came back home to Shetland in 1978 and, after briefly considering teaching and social work, became owner and manager of Clive’s Record Shop from 1979 until 2011. He married in 1987, to Dianne and have two grown-up sons, Matthew and Jack, who despair of their dad’s penchant for terrible puns. Currently Clive is employed as a support worker at Shetland Home Co’s popular Scrapstore in Lerwick.
Clive has been been involved with 60 North Radio for some time now. Supporting Tom Morton when he was away from Shetland and more recently with his biweekly three-track feature within Tom’s Beatcroft Social. Known locally for Clive’s Record Shop up until 2011 his passion for music is still very much evident and we continue to benefit from access to his amazing collection with a show planned every month or so.
Ross started off doing some Transmission Takeover playlists during the midst of the pandemic and decided he'd like to do this on a regular basis.
